Just a small preview of what I have been creating …
This necklace is a custom order/gift for a beautiful young bride-to-be. When asked what she planned to wear on her honeymoon, she said her “uniform” lol would be a black strapless maxi dress and flip-flops. I immediately thought of a long necklace that she could also double and wear short. Lots of different gemstone colors and five different types of sterling silver chain accented with black onyx here and there make the perfect honeymoon and beyond necklace. A coordinating (and very simple) pair of black earrings will look great with the necklace or on their own.
It was one of those nights when I should had been sound asleep but I had this idea for a necklace and earrings that I just had to make. What I thought was going to be twenty minutes at my workbench turned into over an hour. These pieces are simple, super light and very pretty. I loved the gold one so much, I made a double-layered necklace in silver for myself. Can you tell I have summer on my mind?
I usually make it a rule to not purchase clothes for my younger girls unless it’s essential *however* I couldn’t resist this romper at gap.com (of course it was marked down an additional 25% – that was the kicker). My “baby” is such a chub and I just can’t wait to see her little dimpled thighs running around in this outfit!

Nightlights are a must in our household! I was at my most frequented store, TJ Maxx, this afternoon and found these for only $12.99! (That’s for two! They retail for $39.99 at other stores.) We used to have similar ones of a different brand but they broke after too many drops to the floor. I bought all three boxes in stock because I know we’ll be using them for the next decade or so! lol
What I love about them is they are cordless, rechargeable and completely cool to the touch. The brand name is OXO Candela Tooli. (The brand we used to have was Mobi Tyke Lite.) The girls and I agreed: we think they look like slugs or something from the movie Flushed Away.
